Steering and suspension repair questions
Straight answers to what drivers ask us most. Something else on your mind? Call (951) 445-8055.
What are the signs of worn shocks or struts?
Bouncing after bumps, the nose diving when you brake, body roll in turns, cupped or scalloped tire wear, and oily residue on the strut body. Worn struts also lengthen stopping distance.
What is that clunk when I go over bumps?
Common causes are worn sway bar links, ball joints, control arm bushings or strut mounts. We put the car on the lift and check each joint for play to find which one.
Why does my steering feel loose or wander?
Worn tie rod ends, ball joints or steering components let the wheels move without the steering wheel moving. It's worth fixing soon; it affects control and wears tires quickly.
Is steering and suspension work covered by a warranty?
Yes. Repairs are backed by our 1-year/12,000-mile warranty, and you get a written estimate before any work begins, so nothing is done without your approval.
